For Medtech Reviews (or any other school), Turn to Social Media
As the culture of the web evolves, the power in the marketplace is shifting from the businesses to the consumer. With such an incredible amount of information at our fingertips, we are no longer limited to the communication that companies, their competitors and a few nearby friends tell us. Now, consumer reviews are just as easy, and sometimes easier, to find than the messages of the companies themselves. However, this surplus of information can often require even more rigorous discernment than before. What exactly does this review say? Is this review specific to the person, or does it say something about the company as a whole? Who is the reviewer? If the review is negative, is it possible he or she is a competitor or bitter past employee? If positive, could it be the company posing as a customer? Why hasn’t the company responded? Are they ignoring it or have they even seen it in the first place? Is the reviewer telling the truth?
This judgment can be even more critical when dealing with large purchases. Say for instance, school. Which school you choose not only has significant financial consequences, but time implications as well. So where should you look online for legitimate college reviews? I say social media.
Social media can offer student reviews that are much more transparent, especially if they are on the company pages. Questions, concerns and complaints on the school pages paint a much clearer picture of the company. The fact that they are on the school’s page helps guarantee the school actually sees it. That way you know if no response is given by the school, it is more likely the lack of response is deliberate. So for example, if you’re looking for Medtech reviews, you may want to start with the Medtech Facebook or Medtech Twitter pages.
Like any other review site, social media has its share of loopholes and still requires you to look at it in the right perspectives. However, when checking off your steps on the path to purchase, social media isn’t one I would overlook.
